Maharashtra Mobilisation for September 4 Women’s Rally to Exceed 1,000 and for September 5 Mazdoor Kisan Rally to Exceed 10,000

The total number of participants from Maharashtra for the September 4 AIDWA Rally in Delhi will exceed 1,000 and for the September 5 CITU-AIKS-AIAWU Rally in Delhi it will exceed 10,000.

People from several districts of Maharashtra have started reaching Delhi in large numbers.

The first batch of over 1,500 people, including over 200 women, under the banners of the AIKS and AIDWA from Dahanu, Talasari and Vikramgad tehsils of Thane-Palghar districts of Maharashtra reached New Delhi today afternoon September 3.

They were welcomed at New Delhi railway station by AIDWA President Malini Bhattacharya, AIKS President Dr Ashok Dhawale, AIDWA General Secretary Mariam Dhawale and AIDWA State President Naseema Shaikh. Hundreds more from Wada, Shahapur and Palghar tehsils of the same districts will reach by tomorrow early morning.

The speciality of the Maharashtra mobilisation this time is that the AIKS in Nashik district, under the leadership of AIKS former State President J P Gavit, MLA, has booked an entire special train from Nashik to Delhi and back, in which over 5,000 peasant women and men will reach Delhi late tonight.

Workers, peasants, agricultural labourers and women from over 20 other districts of Maharashtra are on the way and they will be arriving in Delhi by tomorrow.
