Minister Kiran Rijju who lied on Alwar incident in Rajya Sabha has no right to continue

By terming Alwar incident as ‘an altercation between two groups’ Minister of State for Home Kiran Rijju has been proved unworthy to hold constitutional positions and needs to resign.

What happened in Alwar is open to the entire people of the country through Media. The video clip that shows the real culprits unleashing violence on victims had been become viral in social media. It was not an altercation between two warring groups but one sided heinous attack on a poor dairy farmer and his two sons and lynching the father mercilessly. It shows  This incident is a shame to the entire country and the people.

Earlier the Minister for Minority Affairs Mr Mukthar Abhas Naqvi had stated in the Rajya Sabha that ‘no such incident happened’; now the State Minister of Home kiran Rijju had been compelled to make contradicting statement accepting the lynching. But the Minister of State consciously had equated the murderers and the victim is against the principles of law and violation of the Constitution.

The perpetrators were activists of Bajrang Dal and Viswa Hindu Parishad and none of the real culprits who were in the video were arrested even after two weeks by the Vasundare Raje Government of Rajasthan.  Even the victims were not given proper medical treatment and no revenue officer or District collector visited the family of the peasant who got killed. The Government system failed to announce even compensation to the victims.
