The NCS Sugar Factory, located in Vijayanagaram district of Andhra Pradesh, has not paid 16.33 crores due to the farmers. Affected farmers staged a protest in front of the factory on 3rd November 2021 under the auspices of the Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham. Farmers protested by blocking the road as the Factory owners did not respond. Police resorted to brutal lathi-charge to disperse the farmers including women. Already 6 farmer leaders have been arrested. The farmers resisted the brutal attack and fought back the police attack.
