Kisan Sabha’s Nirdhaar Morcha and Massive Public Meeting to follow up on the Historic Kisan Long March

As you know, the AIKS had organised a historic Kisan Long March from March 6 to 12 on the burning issues of farmers. Over 50,000 farmers from all over Maharashtra walked from Nashik to Mumbai for seven days. The discipline that the peaceful march displayed and the night march taken to help the students of the tenth standard so that their board exam does not get disrupted was very well received by the people all over the state and the country. As a result of the massive support of the people, the state government had to bow down and accept the demands of the farmers.

The Kisan Sabha’s Thane-Palghar District Council is organising a Nirdhaar Rally and a Massive Public Meeting of around 50,000 farmers, both women and men, to mark the victory of this Kisan Long March on Thursday, 3rd May 2018 at 12 noon in Dahanu town. The rally will start from Sagar Naka and will culminate at the Suru Baug near Paar Naka, Dahanu.

This rally will be led by AIKS national and state leaders Dr. Ashok Dhawale, J.P. Gavit MLA, Kisan Gujar and Dr. Ajit Nawale as well as leaders of Left parties like the CPI(M) and PWP – Nilotpal Basu ex-MP, Narasayya Adam ex-MLA, Jayant Patil MLC, Mahendra Singh and Mariam Dhawale.

Much after this rally was announced, the Palghar Lok Sabha by-election has been declared. An important announcement about that election will also be made in the Public Meeting.
