Rs 1 lakh given to Sitapur widow whose husband killed for non-payment of loan

Sitapur, Feb 9 (UNI) Kisan Sabha, a left party organisation, on Friday handed over a cheque of Rs one lakh to widow Gyani Devi, whose husband Gyanchand was crushed to death when the bank tried to seize his tractor for non-payment of loan here on January 20.

Kisan Sabha general secretary Mukut Singh said Gyanchand, a native of Bhauri village under Mahmudabad police station, was crushed to death when the bank officials tried to take away his tractor on non payment of loan dues.
