Unite to Isolate the Forces of Hindutva Terror AIKS Strongly Protests the Murder of Gouri Lankesh
The AIKS strongly condemns the cold blooded murder of Gouri Lankesh, renowned journalist, editor and activist at her residence at Bangalore yesterday. She was a strong critic of hate politics of RSS- BJP combine.
AIKS demands immediate arrest of the culprits and those who have masterminded this heinous crime. The State Government of Karnataka must honour Gouri Lankesh as the Martyr who sacrificed life for Secular and Democratic India. AIKS conveys its condolences to family and colleagues of Gouri Lankesh.
AIKS notes with concern that similar murders of writers and rationalists including Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare and M.M Kalburgi remain unresolved till date. It is obvious that the murderers have political patronage and are protected by the RSS-BJP combine that rule the country in order to keep an atmosphere of terror.
The RSS never condemned the series of murders or demanded arrest of culprits. It is a national shame that the BJP led State Governments and Central Government have been promoting the politics of hate. They have miserably failed to ensure safety of citizens and maintain law and order.
The country must unite to isolate forces of Hindutva terror patronised by RSS and defeat their divisive agenda. All mass and class organisations and social organisations must take up countrywide campaigns and mobilise against the forces of hate by uniting broadest sections. AIKS calls upon its members to protest against this heinous crime and attack on secularism.
