Kanchipuram District Anguchettipalayam Farmers’ Struggle Demanding the Right to Land

The farmers of Anguchettipalayam in Kanchipuram district, Thiruvallur taluk, have been residing on lands since 1999. These lands were granted to the people under a government scheme. However, attempts are being made to forcibly evict the residents, depriving them of their rights and livelihood.

The Tamil Nadu Kisan Sabha has joined hands with local residents to oppose this eviction, demanding that the government respect the settlement rights of the people. TN AIKS organised a protest demonstration and rally to emphasize the plight of these families and to press for immediate government action to halt the eviction. This is rally aimed to draw attention to the unjust evictions and ensure land rights for all affected families.
