Today on 20th January, Bihar Kisan Mukti Sammelan was organised at Patna, where the proposed two Bills regarding Loan waiver and Remunerative MSP were discussed. Approx. 1000 delegates attended who while supporting the two bills, recommended to demand minimum Rs.5000/- monthly pension for all the peasantry and agricultural workers above 60. They decided to organize a Maha kisan dharna on the first day of next Assembly session of Bihar at Patna on 26th February. It will be preceeded by the district level joint kisan conferences. N. K. Shukla from AIKS, Prabodh Panda from Kisan Sabha, Rajaram from All India Kisan Mahasabha, Arun Kumar from AIKKMS and representative from Jai Kisan Andolan addressed the sammelan. State leaders who addressed included Lalan Chaudhary, Binod Kumar, Satyanarayan Singh and others. Veteran kisan leader Com. Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi also addressed the gathering.
